On December 6, 2008, in Athens, Greece, police murdered 15-year-old Alexis Grigoropoulos in the neighborhood of Exarchia. In response, anarchists, young people, and other rebels from targeted populations rose in revolt, organizing countrywide riots and occupations that lasted for weeks.
