Kevin Darkstar Gosnell

1982-2003

Kevin was an anarchist from Baltimore who died in a car accident in 2003 while on his way home from scamming copies for his zine distro Pitch Black Press. He was a train-riding, hard drinking punk who wrote children’s stories and published zines about how to speak Irish. He fought for justice everywhere he went, working with the Towson Anti-War Coalition and Global Toxin. He and I spent night drunk dreaming of the free stores and zine libraries we would start.

He taught me how to X my i’s when I write, how to scam pizza from chain stores, and what it feels like when two beards kiss. He also taught an awful lot of people what it means to live free.
